Contents of the training

As a metal worker (m/f/d) specializing in construction technology, we will teach you everything you need to know about metal and its processing.
You will learn how to weld, rivet, drill, cut, bend, screw, galvanize, clamp and everything else needed to produce the metal structures for our construction sites.
Real precision work and a steady hand are often required here to ensure that everything fits together perfectly in the end.

You will never be bored, because the range of your workpieces and tasks is broad.
In addition to built-in parts that flow directly into our prefabricated parts production and special constructions that are required for the assembly of prefabricated parts on construction sites, you will also produce banisters, steel stairs, canopies, gates, garden fences, façade brackets or even a clothes rack for an office building.
For some of the parts, you then drive out to the construction site to assemble your work there.
You will always use a technical drawing as a guide, so in addition to your manual skills, spatial imagination and a little brainpower are also required.

Duration and procedure

In total, training as a metalworker (m/f/d) takes 3.5 years.
As this is a dual apprenticeship, you will attend vocational school a few days a week alongside your work in the company.
There you will learn the necessary theory for practical work, so that you become a true specialist.

The first really important exam awaits you before the end of your second year of training.
This is where you take the first part of your journeyman’s examination.
The second part of the journeyman’s examination then takes place at the end of the apprenticeship.
