Classical building construction in the form of reinforced concrete structures has always been a core competence of our company group. From residential properties and schools to power plants, we plan and realise all kinds of shells – both new builds and refurbishment of existing ones .
On request, we assume the complete handling and planning of your construction project for you. We give top priority to adherence to deadlines, cost reliability and high quality.
As the owner and operator of our own precast concrete plant, we not only have expert knowledge of in-situ concrete and stonework construction, but also a wealth of expertise in planning and realising projects with precast concrete parts.
When it comes to buildings with a complex design, we plan the necessary formwork individually in our in-house production planning department and have it made especially by our formwork carpenter. As a result, we can reliably produce architecturally sophisticated shells with a high quality.
Paper Factories
Based on 40 years of experience and the associated know-how, the Glass Group is the leading specialist in the construction of paper factories (for newspaper printing, banknotes, paperboard, toilet paper, etc). Our excellent reputation extends far beyond the region’s borders, and we regularly receive orders not just from Germany, but also from other European countries. As well as entire new paper factories, we also build extensions and conversions.
We meet the special requirements for dimensional accuracy and planeness reliably and precisely, ensuring, for example, that the machine frame later fits the paper machine exactly.
Energy and environment
Our portfolio in power plant construction includes hydroelectric, gas and recycling power stations. We build new power plants and modernise existing ones. Due to their complexity, power plant buildings present a particular challenge in terms of planning and construction. Whether you require slip, climbing or other special formwork, we will work with you to find the right solution for your project, thanks to our long and extensive experience in this field.
Public projects
From small sports halls to large school campuses with several buildings, we are your reliable partner when it comes to the construction of public buildings. Our focus is on implementing buildings with exposed concrete surfaces and distinctive shapes. Thanks to the use of customised, in-situ concrete formwork and good formwork planning, almost any design is possible with an excellent surface quality. In many cases, however, the budget for implementing public buildings such as schools or hospitals is limited. Precast concrete elements are often a good way to meet these constraints. By producing precast parts, we can realise such building projects quickly and inexpensively.
Residential construction
We all need a roof over our heads. We build not only homes for our customers, but complete complexes such as housing estates. From the underground car park upwards, we construct large residential buildings and complexes, usually with several floors. But our repertoire also includes exclusive residences with exposed concrete surfaces and villas with elaborate bannisters and façade elements.
Office buildings
We realise office and administrative buildings for our customers, either as individual projects or in combination with the construction of industrial buildings. Depending on the requirements, we offer either a shell construction or a turnkey service. Here, too, customers benefit from our competence in building exposed concrete elements as well as our speed and reliability. Thanks to our own logistics department and good planning capabilities, we are also the right construction company when it comes to building offices in inner-city locations. We meet the high energy standards of buildings with the help of well-designed concepts and our extensive experience in this area.
refurbishing and upgrading
Not only new buildings require construction work. We are also often tasked with extending, refurbishing or converting existing buildings. This requires very precise analysis and planning, as well as exact construction work to ensure that the new components blend perfectly with the existing building. Not only do the structural conditions have to be taken into consideration, but especially in industrial construction, building work can often only be carried out during ongoing operations. This calls for experience and flexibility. We have both. We develop tailor-made concepts as a shell construction or a package service and always ensure that the buildings are perfectly integrated in the existing structures, even under difficult conditions. When it comes to industrial construction, this can be converting old industrial buildings or realising new machine foundations in existing factories. We are your competent partner for all construction measures in existing buildings.
Special buildings
Embassy buildings, swimming pools, zoo complexes, mills, silo buildings or leisure properties: Many buildings have special demands that do not fit the usual mould. They involve complex shapes and architecturally sophisticated planning that can only be done with a very individual approach. This is a task our employees particularly enjoy – the more complicated the better, is our motto.
