Content of the course Concrete has always been one of the most important building materials in the construction industry.
No wonder, because concrete has an outstanding property: as a kind of liquid stone, it is really stable and can be processed into almost any shape.
You will learn how to produce concrete parts in all kinds of shapes and create unique buildings with us: in your training as a building construction worker (m/f/d).
Every concrete component always starts with the formwork.
It defines the shape that the future part will have and must be constructed very carefully.
Dimensional accuracy, exact alignment, tightness and stability are very important here.
Depending on the concrete part required, you may work with ready-made formwork elements or custom-made wooden formwork from our formwork hall.
Then it’s time for the reinforcement.
This means that you insert the reinforcing steel into the formwork.
This makes the future concrete part stable and able to withstand heavy loads.
The construction plan tells you how to set up the formwork and reinforcement.
The concrete then flows into the formwork using a crane bucket or concrete pump.
For some parts, you also mix the concrete directly on the construction site.
To do this, you learn everything about the properties and mixing ratios of the required concrete at school.
Now all you have to do is compact it, allow it to harden and remove the formwork.
You can see whether you have done everything correctly when stripping the formwork.
Any cracks or recesses must then be repaired.
This is also one of your tasks.
As well as setting up a construction site, working in insulating materials, sorting materials or assembling finished parts. Duration and procedure Vocational training as a building construction worker (m/f/d) lasts 24 months.
The training focuses on concrete and reinforced concrete work.
At the end, you will take the examination to become a building construction worker (m/f/d).
Upon successful completion, there is the option of completing the third year of training and obtaining the higher qualification of concrete and reinforced concrete worker (m/f/d).
